William J. "Bill" Eberhardt

   William J. “Bill” Eberhardt, age 97, of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Monaca, Pa, died on Friday, June 19, 2015 at his home in Tionesta.  He was born November 29, 1917 in Rochester, PA, son of the late William J. and Anna Mary (Hovelman) Eberhardt. 

   On February 7, 1941 in Rochester he married Goldie M. (Burkhart) Eberhardt who died March 24, 2013. 

   Bill was a graduated from the University of Notre Dame and he owned and operated Eberhardt Insurance and Real Estate Company in Monaca until his retirement.  He also had been employed by Price Waterhouse. He was Past King Lion of the Monaca Lions Club, a life member of BPOE Elks and the Moose Club, both of Rochester.  He was a member of the VFW of Monaca and Tidioute, PA.  He was a member of and previously the Commodore of the Beaver Valley Yacht Club, and a lifetime member of the Kellettville Sportsman Club of Kellettville, PA.  He loved to golf and was a member of the Hunter Station Golf Course in Tionesta.  He also loved to snowmobile and play shuffle board. 

   He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy. 

   Surviving are two daughters, Pamela A. McCarty and her husband Paul Sr. of Beaver Falls, PA.  Ann C. Eberhardt of Tionesta.  A grandson, Paul McCarty Jr, also of Beaver Falls.  A granddaughter Tamara Panucci and her husband Domenic of Moon Twp.  Three great-grandsons Anthony and Brady Panucci, Blaise McCarty and his mother Danielle Portman, Beaver Falls, PA.

   Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.  Funeral services will be conducted  on Monday, 11 am, at the funeral home with Pastor Randy L. Evans, Clarion/Forest VNA Hospice Chaplin, officiating.  Entombment will be at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum in Rochester. 

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be sent to the Kinnear Scholarship Fund c/o Forest County Community Foundation (an affiliate of Bridge Builders Community Foundation) 206 Seneca St. Oil City, PA 16301, or the Clarion/Forest VNA Hospice 271 Perkins Rd, Clarion, PA  16214.
