William "Bill" R. Lewis

   William “Bill” Raymond Lewis, 89, of West Hickory, PA (Harmony Twp., Forest County) died suddenly on October 18, 2023. He was born on June 4, 1934 in West Hickory, PA, son of the late Helen Lewis. On December 22, 1959 in Tionesta, PA, he married the late Nancy A. (Griswold) Lewis. The couple resided on Fleming Hill for nearly 63 years.

   Bill was stationed in the Philippines and Okinawa during the Korean war where he served as Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. When he returned from the war, he was employed at Endeavor Lumber Co. Bill then went on to work at Universal Cyclops, where he retired after 35 years.

Bill was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Tionesta for 51 years. He was a licensed pilot and an avid hunter and fisherman for many years.

   Bill loved his family dearly and is survived by: two sons, Scott A. Lewis and his wife Susan of Tidioute, PA; Randy L. Lewis and his wife JoAnn of Pleasantville, PA; and two daughters, Stacy A. Lewis and Kelly R. Lewis, both of Clearwater, FL and his cousin, Martha Kiffer.

His nine grandchildren: Josh Lewis and his wife Erica; Andre Armagost and his wife Wendy; Meloni Lewis; Randa Lewis; Heidi Lewis; Sasha Lewis; Curtis Lewis and his fiancé Danielle; Alyce Busch and her husband Randy; and Rhiannon Toombs.

   Ten great-grandchildren: Laci Lewis, Simon and Olivia Armagost, Avette and Evan Auge, Kyle Shaffer, Hayden Fuller, Hunter Lewis, Ezra and Gabriel Busch. Many nieces and nephews.

   In addition to his mother and wife Nancy, Bill was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Lewis, and a grandson, Dustin Smith. 

   All services held will be private.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J.
