Virginia M. "Jeannie" Flick

   Virginia M. “Jeannie” Flick, age 69, of Lake Lucy (Tionesta), PA, died on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Clarion Hospital, Clarion, PA.  She was born June 1, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late John and Mary (Kendi) Palinski. 

   Jeannie had previously been employed by Evenflo-Crator of Tionesta for 25 years, and then retired from Blair Corp. of Warren, PA.  She also had worked part time at the Seldom Inn of Tionesta.  She attended St. Anthony’s R.C. Church, also of Tionesta. 

  Surviving are her fiancé Russell J. Smerkar of Lake Lucy.  Two brothers, John Palinski and his wife Mary Kay of Fombell, PA; Robert Palinski and his wife Carla of Pittsburgh, PA.  Two sisters, Irene Fonner of Bridgeville, PA; Theresa Hale and her husband Rodger of Seneca, PA.  Many nieces and nephews.

   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Flick, and a sister, Mary Ann Kuhta. 

   Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8.  A Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 11 am at the funeral home with Father Joseph Kalinowski of St. Anthony’s R.C. Church, officiating.  Burial at Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville, PA. 

   In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to the Sarah Stewart Bovard Memorial Library PO Box 127 Tionesta, PA  16353.  Family would like to extend a special thanks to the Shippenville Ambulance Service and to the Clarion Hospital ICU unit and staff.
