Steven J. Stehle, age 61, of Tidioute, PA, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, died on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at his home in Tidioute. He was born June 9, 1960 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Herman J. and Audrey C. (Eperthener) Stehle.
Steve worked as a bartender before owning and operating the Tidioute Hotel until his retirement. He was a member of the Duquesne Maennerchor Club and the South Hills Republican Club in Pittsburgh, as well as the Elzie E. Lynch American Legion Post 334 in Tidioute. Steve was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed working on his cars.
He is survived by one brother and two sisters: Thomas H. Stehle and his wife Sandy of Valencia, PA; Susan S. Cooper and her husband Harry of Sherrodsville, OH; and Debra S. Sullivan of Evans City, PA. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William J. Stehle, and his sister-in-law, Patricia A. Stehle.
There will be no public visitation. All services held will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta, PA. Burial will be with his parents at Mars Cemetery, Mars, PA.
