Sally J. Whitton Bayless

     Sally J. Whitton Bayless, 62, of Tidioute, PA formerly of Titusville, PA and Tionesta, PA, passed away on Friday morning, October 28, 2016, at Meadville Medical Center, Meadville, PA, after her courageous battle with cancer.  She was born on May 2, 1954 in Oil City, PA, daughter of Donna L. (Miller) Whitton, of Tionesta, and the late Stephen O. Whitton.

     She was preceded in death just six months earlier by her loving husband, Stanley “Corb” Bayless III, on April 8, 2016, whom she married on November 15, 1986 in Titusville.

     Sally graduated from North Clarion High School in 1972.  After high school, she worked at Evenflo Crater in Tionesta.  She also worked at the Joseph Altomare and Joseph Barnhardt Law Firm as a paralegal for 13 years.  In her later years, Sally volunteered teaching exercise classes at the Titusville YMCA and was an active member of the YMCA Capital Campaign Fund.

     Sally enjoyed gardening, traveling, scuba diving, and kayaking.  She enjoyed spending time at her and her husband’s homes in Florida, as well as at their home on the Allegheny River.  Sally loved spending time with her friends and family, most especially Sunday dinners at her mother’s home in Tionesta.

     Surviving, in addition to her mother Donna L. Whitton, are three children: Danielle L. Mottillo of Erie and her significant other Tom Spagel, Chad D. McFarland and wife Raquel of Tionesta, and Nathan C. Bayless of Meadville and his significant other Stefanie Thomas.  Six grandchildren also survive: Christopher, Olivia, Emma, Madison, Katey, and Evan, as well as six brothers and one sister: Randy Whitton and his wife Marsha of Tionesta, Kenny Whitton and his wife Rennie of Tionesta, Jim Whitton  and Lee Adams of Tionesta, Sandy Grundmeier and her husband Rick of Mound, MN, Todd Whitton of Tionesta and his significant other Darla, Orrie Whitton and his wife Vickie of Mound, MN, and Kathy Whitton of Sanford, NC and her significant other Al, and many nieces and nephews.  Sally also leaves behind her beloved canine, Riley.

     In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen F. Whitton, in 2012.

     There will be no public visitation.  Friends are welcome to attend Memorial Services on Saturday, November 26, 2016, 1 P.M., at the Titusville Free Methodist Church, 42490 State Route 27, Titusville, PA 16354 with Pastor Tim Maybray officiating.

     Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.
