Ronald L. Hall

   Ronald L. Hall, age 80, of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Verona, PA, died on Monday, June 27, 2016 at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca, PA.  He was born August 9, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Ronald L. and Elizabeth (Miller) Hall. 

   On June 22, 1956 in Verona he married Joan W. (Hope) Hall who survives. 

   Ron was a lifelong employee of Verizon, previously Bell of PA, retiring in 1992 where he worked both as a PBX Specialist and Lineman.  Bell of PA transferred him to Tionesta in 1977 where he and his wife Joan have made their home since. 

   He was a member of the Tionesta Volunteer Fire Department and volunteered as a driver for the Tionesta Ambulance Service.  He has served on Tionesta Borough Council for many years as Vice President, the Ethel Bowman Proper Elderly Housing Board from it’s inception to present, and the Tionesta Municipal Authority.  He was also a member of the Verona Volunteer Fire Department, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, also of Verona. 

   In addition to his wife of 60 years, Joan, he is survived by two sons, Kenneth L. Hall of Hillsboro, Missouri; Larry M. Hall and his wife Cheryl of Sarver, PA.  Two daughters, Karen L. Atkins and her husband Kelly of Pleasantville, PA; Patti A. Baetzhold and her husband Dave of Rochester, NY.  Ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.  A sister, Phyllis Krieger and her husband Gerry of Cowansville, PA.  Several nieces and nephews.

   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Hall. 

   All arrangements held will be private.  Burial at Riverside Cemetery, Tionesta.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.
