Beloved father Robert “Bob” Allan Glenn, age 63, of Butler, PA, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 of a heart attack at his camp in Marienville, PA. He was born June 5, 1959 in Butler, PA, son of the late William Lowrey and Lucille (Maddalena) Glenn.
Bob served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from the University of Maryland. He lived in Ellicott City, Maryland for most of his adult life, and worked as a geographic analyst for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency of the United States Department of Defense. He was an avid historian and expert outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and foraging as well as cooking for friends and family. Bob instilled a lifelong love of reading and nature in his children.
He is survived by two daughters, Alison Kathleen Glenn of Baltimore, MD and Laura Glenn O’Carroll (Patrick) of Chicago, IL and their sister Rose Margaret Glenn; two grandchildren, Sverre Forrest and Paloma Maddalena O’Carroll; his brother, William L. Glenn II (Sheila) of Lawrenceville, GA; his sister, Patricia English (John) of Butler, PA; many nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jacquelyn Marshall.
A private memorial will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the National Parks Foundation at https://give.nationalparks.org/.
