Peggy Sue Uplinger

   We are saddened to announce the dath of Peggy Sue (Zuck) Uplinger of Lucinda passed away on August 17th, 2025, at age 62.  She was the daughter of the late James “Jim” Zuck and Elizabeth “Joan” Zuck.

   Peggy did a lot throughout her life, including working at retail stores and markets, and her long beloved job driving school bus. She obtained her love for school bus driving when she lived in Virginia Beach.  Later in her life she moved back to Pennsylvania where she started driving school bus for Lander’s in Lucinda, then North Clarion School District, Wolbert’s Bussing Company, and in her latest, Muccio School Transportation. This job was everything to her.  She looked to all her students as her own kids. If you ever asked her what she loved most about her job, she would say “My kids. I’ve had most of their parents, hell maybe even grandparents, and now them.” Her favorite part in life was getting up every day and picking up students and taking them safely to school.

   She had various hobbies throughout life which included camping, walking, and crafting.

   She is proceeded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, a stepmother, Dixie, a stepbrother, Danny, and an aunt, Joyce.

   She is survived by her siblings Edward Zuck of Tionesta, Robert Zuck of Tionesta, Dena (Jeff) Hartzell of Tionesta, Laura Davis of Clarion; Step siblings Vicki (Gary) Fratus of Florida, Debbie Kiser and Tammy Nason of Tionesta, and Bruce (Pam) Kiser of Tionesta.

   She is also survived by her children Levi Zuck of Lucinda, Emily Ion of Lucinda, and a bonus son, Curtis Jr of Tylersburg and her companion Curt Ion of Lucinda. A grandson, an uncle, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and close friends.

   A celebration of life will be held at the Good Shepherd Church in Tionesta (Tylersburg) on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to follow at noon.
