Maxine L. Mast

   Maxine L. Mast, age 98, of Tionesta, PA, died on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at her home in Tionesta surrounded by her family after a month long illness.   She was born November 16, 1926 in Monrovia, California, daughter of the late William O. and Bertha (Sobolik) Loux.   On February 3, 1946 in California she married Julian J. Mast who died January 1, 2007.

   She was a member of the Tionesta Presbyterian Church and the Tionesta Peace Makers.  She volunteered at the Presbyterian Home in Titusville, PA.  She also was a member of the Sylvania Chapter #102 Order of the Eastern Star, and the VFW Auxiliary, both of Tionesta.  Maxine enjoyed quilting, painting, upholstering, and was an accomplished seamstress. 

   Surviving are a son, Robert J. Mast and his wife Lynne of Tionesta.  Two daughters, Patricia L. Wolbert and her friend Donald O’Neil, also of Tionesta; and Debbie J. Stark and her husband Kenneth of Mill Hall, PA.  Six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren.  Many nieces and nephews.

   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, William Robert Loux; a sister, Betty Loux; a son-in-law, Donald Wolbert; and a grandson, Brandon Mast. 

   Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta on Tuesday from 2-4 and

6-8.  Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11am, at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Roger Snyder officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Tionesta.
