  Martha Hazeldine (Servey) Stephens, age 90 of Venus, PA, died Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the home of her daughter in West Hickory, PA. 

  She was born May 31, 1925 in Clarion, PA, daughter of the late Harry Budd and Myrtle Irene (Clark) Servey.  On November 8, 1946 in Clarion she married Kenneth E. Stephens who died February 21, 1986.

  Hazeldine graduated from Clarion High School in 1943.  She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Venus, and also attended the West Hickory United Methodist Church.  She lived in Venus for most of her life.  She worked as a switchboard operator at the Venus Telephone Company.  She also worked at Sears in Oil City, PA, and Sears Catalog Sales in Clarion.  She also was a co-owner of the Montgomery Ward Catalog Sales in Clarion until it closed in 1985. 

  Hazeldine loved spending time with her family.  She liked to travel, and especially enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together and usually a puzzle could be found in process on her dining room table (even hidden under the tablecloth). 

  She is survived by a son, David E. Stephens and his wife Joanne of Snydersburg, PA.  Three daughters; Elizabeth A. “Betty” Kagle and her husband William of West Hickory: Martha J. Revelt and her husband Jean of Seneca, PA; Constance M. “Connie” Franklin and her husband Leonard of Harrisburg, PA.  A son-in-law Michael A. Mahle of Fryburg, PA.  Two brothers, Carl M. Servey of Erie, PA, and Donald Paul Servey and his wife Judy of Shippenville, PA.  Two sisters, Margaret Virginia Righi of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Edna E. McDonald of Cheyenne, Wyoming.  She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great great-granddaughter.  There are numerous nieces and nephews. 

  In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by two daughters, Donna J. (Stephens) Mahle and Mary I. Stephens in infancy.  A granddaughter in infancy, Jeanetta Mahle.  Two brothers, Samuel W. and Rev. James N. Servey.  A sister, Ardella I. Courson.  Two half brothers, Harry and Edward Servey.  A half sister, Edith Servey Dills.   

  Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta, PA.  A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, 11 am, at the funeral home with Rev. Larry R. Neal, retired pastor of the West Hickory United Methodist Church.  Burial at Venus Cemetery, Venus, PA. 

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice 271 Perkins Rd. Clarion, Pa. 16214, or charity of one’s choice.
