Marsha E. Chappel

   Marsha E. Chappel, age 69, of Tionesta, PA, died on Monday, December 19, 2022 at her home in Tionesta.  She was born August 20, 1953 in Titusville, PA, daughter of the late Robert L. and H. Elizabeth “Betty” (Fitzgerald) Chappel.

   Marsha was a Commonwealth of PA employee and worked at the State Correctional Institution of Forest County, PA (SCI Forest), then for the State Hospital in North Warren, PA until retirement.  She was a Local Registrar for many years for Forest County processing death certificates and disposition permits.  She attended the University of Pittsburgh in Titusville, PA and was a graduate of West Forest High School class of 1971.  Marsha was a dog and cat lover including a canine friend she lost a few years ago named Jackson.

    Surviving are a brother, David G. Chappel and his wife Janice of Crimora, VA.  Two sisters, Susan L. Moore and her companion Bill of West Hickory, PA; and Polly J. Daum of Franklin, PA.  Several close nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Chappel in 1978, and Rob Chappel in 1981.  Also deceased is a nephew, Gerimy Barnes who died in 2021.

     There will be no public visitation, all services held will be private.  Burial will be at West Hickory Cemetery in West Hickory, PA.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.  Messages of sympathy may be left at www.wimerfuneralhome.com
