Marian A. (Eschrich) Haven

   Marian A. (Eschrich) Haven, age 84, of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Bradford, PA, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at St. Vincent’s Health Center in Erie, PA.  She was born March 16, 1931 in Bradford, daughter of the late Paul B. and Mayme (Belser) Eschrich.  

   On November 29, 1958 in Bradford she married William M. Haven who died July 15, 2000.

   During her early years, Marian helped out at the Truck Stop Dairy Bar and Restaurant, in Bradford which was the family business.  Later she was employed by Corning Glass, also of Bradford.  After retirement, her and husband Bill made their home in Tionesta, loved to travel, and spent over twenty years “wintering” in Mission, Texas where they greatly enjoyed spending time with their Texan friends.  She took cake decorating classes and loved to cook, especially making pies and creating cakes.  

   She was a member of the Tidioute VFW Post #8803 Ladies Auxiliary.

   Surviving are a son, Darrel L. Haven and his partner Mike Geraughty of Palm Springs, California.  A daughter, Dorothy E. “Dottie” Near and her partner Bruce Davidson of Rochester, New York.  Several nieces and nephews. 

   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Richard H. Haven.  Three brothers, Meryl, Herbert and Howard.  A sister, Lucille Forcey. 

   Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 2 pm – 4 pm followed by funeral services to be conducted at 4 pm with Clarion-Forest VNA Hospice Chaplin Randy L. Evans, officiating.  Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Tionesta.
