Madeline M. Farren

    Madeline M. “Midge” (Echenoz) Farren, age 66, of Marienville, PA, died on Saturday, October 10, 2015 as a result of a fire at her home in Jenks Twp., Forest County.  She was born September 10, 1949 in Oil City, PA, daughter of the late Thomas and Twila (Echenoz) Bryan. She was raised by her Uncle and Aunt, the late John and Alvia Gonzales.

    Midge had previously worked as a nurse’s aide at Snyder Memorial in Marienville and for the Clarion/Forest Visiting Nurses Association.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Marienville Veterans Club, the sewing and knitting club of Marienville, and also a member of the Forest Area Baptist Church of Marienville (Redclyffe). 

    On February 20, 1969 in Ripley, New York she married Timothy M. Farren Sr who survives.  In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons, John A. Farren and his wife Jeannie Christman-Farren of Warren, PA; Tim M. Farren Jr and his wife Jennifer Rapid City, South Dakota; Jeffrey A.T. Farren and his fiancé Jennifer DeLucia of Shippenville, PA.  Eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Two sisters, Sue Deeter and her husband David of Cortland, Ohio; Jackie Bryan of Seneca, PA.  Many nieces and nephews.  Close family friends Tracy Hess Farren and Shannon Covell Farren.   

    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, John Timothy Farren.  A sister, Charlene Huff.  

   There will be no public visitation, friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial service on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11 am at the Forest Area Baptist Church in Marienville with Pastor Terry L. Hebert officiating. Burial will be on the family property. 

   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help the family with their loss and funeral expenses.  Contributions may be directly to the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home PO Box 389 Tionesta, PA  16353, or directly to the Forest Area Baptist Church 111 Parsonage Lane Marienville, PA 16239.
