Louise M. "Weezie" Fedora

   Louise M. “Weezie” Fedora, age 81, of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Fairhope, PA, died on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at her home in Tionesta surrounded by her family.  She was born November 26, 1944, in Charleroi, PA, daughter of the late James and Margaret (Hazzard) DePaolo. 

   Growing up just a few minutes’ walk from each other, she shared nearly 65 years of marriage to her childhood sweetheart, Michael L. Fedora, who survives.  When an employment opportunity at WFHS brought them to the area in 1966, Forest County became their home. Louise was a faithful member of St. Anthony’s R.C. Church of Tionesta being involved also with the Ladies Guild and the choir.   She was proud of her 32 years of public service to Forest County as one of the County Auditors retiring in 2019.  Prior to working for the county, she also worked as a Teacher’s Aide at West Forest School, at the “Tionesta” Sarah Stewart Bovard Memorial Library, the Tionesta Cable Company, the Super Duper Grocery Store, and Mrozek’s Beauty Shop, all of Tionesta. A highlight of her various employment ventures was chatting and joking with the many people she encountered. 

   She loved decorating her home anytime of the year, especially for the holidays.  She enjoyed word puzzles, flower/gardening around her home, reading, and birdwatching out of her kitchen window…. and mostly found enjoyment spending time with her friends over the years, especially those of the Wednesday Night Knitting Club of Tionesta, with whom she met monthly.  Louise shared the love of decorating and floral landscaping with her daughter.  She took great pleasure in cooking and baking, often inviting those who would be alone for the holidays to share in home-cooked meals.  She was notorious for her enthusiastic cheering at West Forest sporting events and Indian Festival Parade, especially in support of her son and grandson, loved to dance at local events, parties, and celebrations of all sorts, and often offered “free” baby sitting services to almost any young child that captured her heart.  She adored her home and living in Tionesta, her children, and spending time with her family. 

   In addition to her husband Mike, surviving are a son, Michael J. Fedora and his wife Lynnette of Tionesta.  A daughter, Michelle M. Eckert and her companion Kris Stabryla, both of New Castle.  Her only grandchild, David M. Eckert of Chandler, AZ, whom she helped raise, brought her special pride and joy.  A sister, Pamela Malush of Charleroi.  Several nieces and nephews, and her “adopted” granddaughter, Jessica Wagner of Clarion, PA, whom Louise adored. 

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Waite, two sisters, Yvonne Kalie and Cinda Prather.  A very dear friend, Deborah (Caldwell) Wagner, mother of Jessica. 

   Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta on Tuesday from 5 – 8 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11 AM at St. Anthony’s R.C. Church of Tionesta with Father David Foradori and Father Joseph Kalinowski, co-Celebrants.  Memorials may be directed to the Clarion-Forest VNA 271 Perkins Rd, Clarion, PA 16214.
