Louis V. Potts

   Louis V. Potts, age 77, of West Hickory, PA, died on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.  He was born July 24, 1941 in Tylersburg, PA, son of the late Harold and Edith (Branthoover) Potts. 

   On April 8, 1967 in West Hickory he married Bonnie J. (Hile) Potts, who survives.  Lou retired from Penn-Dot of Tionesta where he was employed as a truck driver.  He was also a well know Barber in the area for many years.  He loved to hunt and fish.  His hobbies included creating videos and making turkey calls.

   In addition to his wife of 51 years he is survived by 2 sons, Darren J. Potts and his wife Melissa of East Hickory, PA; Brian A. Potts and his wife Katie of West Hickory.  A daughter, Yvonne J. Watters and her husband John, also of West Hickory.  Lou has 3 grandchildren, Stephen J. Watters of Aultman, PA; Grace Potts and Chase Potts.  A brother Harold F. Potts of Meadville, PA.  Several nieces and nephews. 

   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Lou Anne and Roberta Potts.  A brother, Joseph Potts.  A sister, Della Kerns.

   There will be no public visitation.  Friends are welcome to join the family at a luncheon to celebrate Lou’s life on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Harmony Township Community Center 95 Center St. West Hickory, PA 16370 from 2-4 PM.  A private burial will take place at Tylersburg Cemetery, Tylersburg, PA.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.
