Lester S. “Bud” Shaw, Jr., age 78, of Kellettville, PA, formerly of Sheffield, PA died on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Warren, PA with his niece, Denise Rhoades, by his side. He was born March 28, 1943 in Warren, PA, son of the late Lester S. and Geneva L. (Spicer) Shaw, Sr.
Bud worked for Endeavor Lumber Company in Endeavor, PA and also mowed grass for many campers in the Kellettville area. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Lester loved to be around people and considered himself the mayor of Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation where he took part in every activity they offered, served on the Resident Council, and was the caller for bingo games. He had a kind soul and was always happy to give to others. He was Methodist by faith.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews and his good friends, Arlene Wilson Barnett and Mark Wilson of Clarendon, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters: Randy Lee Shaw, Martha E. Gustafson, and Jenny McKee.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11 A.M. at Whig Hill Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Tionesta, PA 16353 (off of German Hill Road) with Pastor Kathy Dom of the Tionesta and West Hickory United Methodist Churches officiating. Burial will follow alongside his parents. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation, all of whom Lester considered family.
