Kyle Keith Miller Obituary

We are saddened to announce the death of Kyle K. Miller, age 24, of East Hickory, PA, who died on Thursday morning, April 2, 2020, at his home after a 9 year courageous battle with Ewing Sarcoma (cancer). Kyle was born on Easter Sunday, April 16, 1995, in Titusville, PA. He was the son of Todd and Donna (Boyer) Miller of East Hickory, PA and the youngest of four children.
Kyle was a 2013 graduate of West Forest High School and Venango Technology Center, where he studied Machine Trades. He was the 2013 Prom King and he graduated with many academic awards from Venango Technology Center.
He was employed as a machinist at Vertical Seal Company in Neilltown until his illness forced him to leave in July of 2019.
Kyle was a very talented and gifted young man. He enjoyed fishing and hunting; he once went on an Elk hunt in Riggins, Idaho where he conquered a 5x6 elk. He had many interests including bowling, shooting pool, and playing lead guitar. He performed at the Rock Erie Music Awards in 2011 and 2012. He was a master of card tricks and last but not least, he was an amazing race car driver. Kyle found his one true passion in life, which was racing his #15 Economod. His first year of racing, he received the Rookie of the Year award at Sharon Speedway. His second year, he received the Most Improved Driver award at Sharon Speedway. His last year of racing, in 2019, was his best and most challenging year, as physical changes due to his health condition kept trying to get in the way. Kyle had to keep making adjustments to the car and adapt to a new situation weekly, but he still came out on top with 12 feature wins and 2 Track Championships, which included both Raceway 7 and Eriez Speedway. He also received two driver of the year awards, one at Eriez Speedway and one from the Twin State Auto Club. Kyle had a huge fan base at all the race tracks and always put on an entertaining show. He was an inspiration to many and will be greatly missed.
Kyle was a perfectionist; he would set his mind to get a job done and to do it right. He always had something comical to say, a quick witted comeback, and just overall had a way of making people smile and laugh. He was an excellent teacher, often demonstrating his patience and ability to explain. He did not “lose” to cancer. Kyle beat cancer every day by the way he lived and raced on. He always has been and always will be a winner and a leader.
The family would like to thank the Clarion VNA for their outstanding service and support, and extend a special thanks to our two regular nurses, Helen and Emmy. We would also like to thank Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for nine years of continuous care.
In addition to his parents, Todd and Donna Miller, also surviving are two brothers, Michael Miller and his wife Megan of East Hickory; Joshua Miller and his wife Kasie of Mercer; one sister, Kaylan Miller of East Hickory; two grandmothers, Julia Miller of East Hickory and Nancy Francis of Painesville, OH; four nephews, Jayden, Graysen, Todd, and Tyler Miller and one niece, Bria Miller; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; his cat Chloe and his dog, Missie.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Howard Miller of East Hickory and his maternal grandparents Howard and Ieleen Boyer of Townville, PA.
