Katherine P. "Kit" (Marino) Metzler

     Katherine P. “Kit” (Marino) Metzler, age 61, formerly of Tionesta, PA, passed on November 5, 2025, at Warren General Hospital in Warren, PA.  She was born on September 23, 1964, at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX, daughter of the late Ronald Marino and Lorna “Gay” (Middlestead) Campbell of Tionesta. 

     She lived in Florida, Ohio, and New York in her younger years.  She moved to Tionesta in 1976 and attended West Forest High School, graduating in 1982.  She was formerly married to Kenneth Kitelinger of Tidioute, whom she wed in 1989.  She worked for Blair Corporation in Warren for many years before her battle with MS forced her to leave.  She married William Metzler of Pittsburgh in December of 2013, and they lived in Tionesta and West Hickory.  He preceded her in death on July 9, 2025.

     In addition to her mother, she is survived by three daughters: Alexandria Fearon and her husband Kenneth of Dayton, OH; Lacy Kitelinger of Omaha, NE; and Robberta Kitelinger of Philadelphia, PA.  A brother, Curt Marino of Tionesta.  A sister, Laura Myers and her husband Gary of Grand Valley, PA.   Several nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her father and husband William, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anita, her grandparents Robert and Evadna Middlestead, Angelo Marino, and Mabel (Marino) Norris, as well as her stepfather, Jerry Campbell.

     Friends will be received from 2-4 P.M. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.  Her cremains will be interred alongside her husband in the St. James Memorial Episcopal Church in Titusville, PA, at a memorial service that will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6520 N. Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309-2132.  

UPDATE: UPDATE: A Funeral Service has been scheduled for Katherine "Kit" and William Metzler to be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 11 am at St. James Episcopal Church in Titusville, PA. followed by a luncheon at the fellowship hall of the church. The service will also be live streamed at www.facebook.com/STJamestitusville The family invites all friends and relatives to attend.
