Josephine T. Misciskia, age 80, of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Youngstown, OH, died on Tuesday morning, July 28, 2026, at her home in Tionesta. She was born January 10, 1946, in Youngstown, daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (DiTullio) Rudzik.
She married Anthony “Tony” Misciskia on April 12, 1969, in Youngstown, who preceded her in death on February 17, 2018. A talented beautician, she enjoyed sharing her knowledge and skills with others as an instructor at Raphael’s School of Beauty Culture in Niles, OH. A devout Catholic, her faith was an important part of her life. She had a deep love for animals, especially horses, and enjoyed creating ceramics in her spare time.
She is survived by a son, Anthony C. “Tony” Misciskia and his wife, Jill, of Tennessee. A daughter, Mary Jo Kline of Tionesta. Five grandchildren, Cory Burton and his wife, Valerie, of Pittsburgh, PA; Anthony Jarod Misciskia and his wife, Katherine, of Hawaii; Lillian Misciskia, Tobey Misciskia, and Teddy Misciskia, all of Tennessee. Four great-grandsons, Heath, Reid, and Grant Burton, all of Pittsburgh, and Anthony Misciskia of Hawaii. Two sisters, Joanne Cene of Youngstown, and Rose Marie Bish of Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A special thank you to Shannon Rodgers for taking wonderful care of our mom – she loved you. And for her hospice team, every one of you were so appreciated. Thank you so much!

There will be no public visitation. All services held will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
