John S. Ziegler, age 66, of Tionesta, PA, died on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca, PA. He was born June 25, 1958 in Norfolk, VA, son of Mildred T. “Millie” (Drawdy) Zeigler who survives and with whom he resided, and the late John S. Ziegler who died May 1, 2022.
John was an avid Washington Redskins Fan and loved to watch football. He also enjoyed all types of auto racing. During his life he worked in construction and mostly was a meat cutter for various retail grocers including Farm Fresh Super Markets in the Virginia Beach area. He served his country in the US Marine Corps where he learned to become a diesel mechanic. He was a member of the Fryburg Sportsman Club. In addition to his father John lost his brother, William C. Ziegler on June2, 2009 in a freak and tragic accident in Georgia. He was close to his brother and never got over his loss.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers, James M. Ziegler and his wife Donna of Virginia Beach, VA. Robert A. Ziegler and his husband Jun Lopez of New York, NY.
There will be no public visitation. A celebration of John’s life will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Tionesta.
