Jerald L. McConnell

   Jerald L. ”Jerry” McConnell, age 72, of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Slippery Rock, PA, died on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at UPMC Northwest, Seneca, PA.  He was born July 20, 1952 in Grove City, PA, son of the late Harold L. “Sonny” and Florence P. “Pat” (Frantz) McConnell. 

   On May 11, 1974 in Butler, PA, he married Cynthia S. “Cindy” (Hinchberger) McConnell who survives in Tionesta. 

   Jerry, now retired, owned and operated Rock Motor Repair in Slippery Rock.  He had a love for hunting and fishing and enjoyed the hobby of mushroom and arrowhead hunting. 

   In addition to his wife Cindy of over 50 years of marriage, surviving are two sons, Jeramy J. McConnell and his wife Lori of Tionesta;  Jacob L McConnell of Slippery Rock.  Two daughters, Amy L. Ace and her husband Richard of Franklin, PA; Amber L. Shreve and her husband Zack of Ozark, Missouri. Six grandchildren.  A brother Audie L. McConnell of Slippery Rock, and a sister, Jean A. Mershimer of Slippery Rock.  Several nieces and nephews. 

   He was preceded in death by two brothers, his twin brother Harold “Buddy” McConnell, and Tom McConnell.

   There will be no public visitation.  All services held will be private.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.
