Janet M. Feil

     Janet M. Feil, age 86, of Tionesta, PA, died on Thursday evening, October 12, 2023, at Quality Life Services in Grove City, PA.  She was born April 24, 1937, in Erie, PA, daughter of the late Everett and Mildred E. (Ferguson) Anderson.

     On October 2, 1953, in Winchester, VA, she married Robert L. Feil, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2005.  Janet was the head cook and manager of the cafeteria at Shenango Elementary School in New Castle, PA until her retirement.  She was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Tionesta.

     She is survived by her son, John M. Feil and his wife Valerie of Robbinsville, NC, and her daughter, Patricia A. Lockley and her husband Tom of Mercer, PA.  Three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Her brother, Robert. G. Anderson of Osceola, MO.  Her close friend, Bede Meisel of Tionesta. 

     In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul E. Anderson.

     Friends are welcome to attend a graveside blessing on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 2 P.M. at Starr Cemetery, 2589 German Hill Road, Tionesta, PA 16353, with Fr. Michael Polinek of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Fryburg, PA, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.  M
