James W. Hockenberry

  James W. Hockenberry, age 60, of Marienville, PA, formerly of Woodland Park, Colorado, died on Monday, June 13, 2016 at his home in Marienville, PA, Forest County. 

   He was born March 2, 1956 in Butler, PA, son of Evelyn J. (Double) Hockenberry who survives in Renfrew, PA, and of the late Gail M. Hockenberry. 

   Jim was an Air Traffic Controller at Colorado Springs Airport of Colorado retiring in 2011.  He loved the solitude of the Marienville area and enjoyed all outdoor activities especially hunting, fishing, hiking, snow skiing, and camping with his daughters.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force where he received his ATC training. 

   In addition to his mother he is survived by two daughters, Cameo R. and Ivy A. Hockenberry, both of Lyons, Colorado.  A sister, LuAnn Mesesan and her husband Timothy of Harmony, PA.  A nephew and a niece, Andrew and Katie Mesesan, both of Colorado. 

   There will be no public visitation, all services held will be private.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta, PA.
