Jack D. Carson, age 93, of Tionesta, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at his home in Tionesta. He was born November 30, 1931, in Butler, PA, son of the late Judson and Abby (Rutherford) Carson.
Jack graduated from Tionesta High School in 1949. He was employed by Lehman Ford of Tionesta for many years as their Parts Manager which later became Hippert Ford Sales. After Hippert closed he then worked for Pennsy Auto Parts of Seneca, PA and Baker Auto Parts of Tionesta, Clarion, and Oil City, PA as a Parts Runner. Jack enjoyed hunting and especially loved fishing.
On October 26, 1951, in Tionesta he married Eva J. (Whitton) Carson who died June 1, 2022. The couple had been married for over 70 years.
Surviving are three daughters, Cindy J. (Carson) Sandusky and her husband Alan of Tidioute, PA; Jackie S. (Carson) Brosius and her husband Roger of Brookville, PA; Amy A. (Carson) Farrell and her husband Tim of Newmansville, PA (Tionesta). Six grandchildren, Eric Wagner and his partner Kelly Clark of Tionesta; Lyndsay Miller and her husband Chris of Brookville; Brandon Carson and his wife Amber of Emlenton, PA; Michaela Carson of Arizona; Kristen Farrell and her fiancé Jonas Chappel of Tionesta; Megan Dixon and her husband Matthew of Texas. Four great-grandchildren, Lydia Welch, Jackson Miller, Josie Miller, and Parker Carson. Many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a son, Michael Carson, a grandson Scott Brosius, and a granddaughter, Rachel West. A brother is also deceased along with his wife, Richard J. and Ruthie Carson.
There will be no public visitation. A private burial will be at Riverside Cemetery alongside his wife Eva. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarion/Forest VNA Hospice 271 Perkins Rd. Clarion, Pa.
