Fredric S. Edwards

   Fredric S. Edwards, age 54, of Tionesta, PA, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the home of his sister in Tionesta.  He was born July 9, 1961 in Titusville, PA, son of the late Etta (Stover) Berlin. 

   He was a 1979  graduate of Niles McKinley High School in Niles, Ohio.  Most of his working career he was an over the road long haul truck driver and currently employed by Hasbrouck’s Sand and Gravel of Hydetown, PA driving cement truck.  He served his country in the US Marines during the Multinational Force in Lebanon as a Lance Corporal.  He was a life member of the VFW Post # 7047 of Tionesta.  Fred’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, photography, painting and astronomy.  

   Surviving are a sister, Carol I. Witherell and her husband Rick of Tionesta.  Two nephews, Nathaniel and his wife Nicole, and Shawn Witherell, all of Tionesta.  A niece, Carissa Chambers and her husband John of East Hickory, PA.  Three great nephews, John, Tristan and Gabriel Chambers, and a great niece, Olivia Chambers, all of East Hickory, PA.  Several aunts, uncles, cousins. 

   In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his step-father, Eugene Berlin, his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Pearl Stover, and three uncles.

   Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 10 am until 11 am.  A memorial service will follow starting at 11 am with Rev. Jonathan R. Bell, pastor of the Good Shepard United Methodist Church of Tylersburg, PA, officiating. Full military rights will be accorded by the Titusville VFW Post #5958 Color Guard.
