Frank J. Stapp, age 79, of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, died on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at his home in Tionesta. He was born August 16, 1946, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Mae (Foster) Stapp.
Frank served as a Private in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Europe with the 39th Engineer Group. He retired from City Source in Pittsburgh, where he worked as a truck driver in maintenance. In July of 1990, he married Roberta A. (Balserait) Stapp, who survives. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Friends will be received from 11 AM until the time of service at noon on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Boron Funeral Home, Inc., 1719 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15210, with Rev. Dr. John Paul Lester officiating. Burial will be alongside his mother at Union Dale Cemetery in Pittsburgh’s North Side. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. In true Frank fashion, those wishing to honor his memory may also do so by performing a simple act of kindness for someone else, a gesture that reflects the generosity, warmth, and spirit he so effortlessly shared throughout his life.
