Dorothy M. Schwab, age 85, of Tionesta, PA, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Titusville Area Hospital, Titusville, PA. She was born October 20, 1929 in Warren, PA, daughter of the late Howard and Jessie (Stoddard) Mealy.
Dorothy had worked for Crator Manufacturing in Tionesta, Blair in Warren, PA, and was a Forest County Jury Commissioner for 20 years. She was also part owner of the Triple Six Trading Post on Whig Hill, Tionesta.
She was a member of the Tionesta Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #7047, the Tidioute Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #8803, and a member of the Tionesta Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Tionesta United Methodist Church and an avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler fan.
Dorothy is survived by two sons, Danny L. Schwab of Tionesta, and Charles L. Schwab and his wife Janet Rae of Conway, South Carolina. A daughter, Virginia (Ginny) Call and her husband Mark of Tionesta. Four grandsons, Kevin Call and his wife Jennifer of Fairfax, Virginia; Michael Call of Tionesta; Charles Schwab and his wife Sophie of El Paso, Texas, and Casey Schwab and his friend Tina of Crown, PA. A granddaughter Natalie Schwab of Hermitage, PA. Five great-grandsons, Derek Call and his husband Sergio of Centennial, Colorado; Chad Call of Fairfax, Virginia; Camron Call of Tionesta; Chael Schwab of El Paso, Texas, and Brody Schwab, also of Crown. Two great-granddaughters, Melissa Call of Fairfax, Virginia, and Karlee Ann Zacheral of Jacksonville, Florida. Also surviving are three brothers, Howard J. Mealy and his wife Leah of Lady Lake, Florida, and Kenneth A. Mealy and his wife Jewell of Tionesta, and Merle Mealy SR and his wife Carolyn of Tionesta.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Richard E. Schwab.
There will be no public visitation. Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service to be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11 AM at the Tionesta United Methodist Church in Tionesta, PA with Pastor Andrew Blystone officiating. Burial at Riverside Cemetery in Tionesta.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be made to the Hospice of Crawford County, Inc. 310 N. Monroe St. Titusville, PA 16354. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home.
