Dorothy M. Carnahan

   Dorothy M. Carnahan, age 80, of East Hickory, PA, formerly of Tidioute, PA, died on Thursday, September 1, 2016, along with her husband Larry, as a result of a motor vehicle accident in East Hickory.

   She was born June 21, 1936 in Titusville, PA, daughter of the late Wade W. and Margaret M. (Seeley) Martin. 

   On October 15, 1955 in Jamestown, NY she married Larry R. Carnahan.

   Dorothy retired from Blair Corporation in Irvine, PA where she was employed in the returns department.

   Surviving are three daughters, Jeanna M. Carnahan of Tidioute; Debra Z. Moore and her husband Troy also of Tidioute; Melinda R. Strait of Pittsfield, PA.  Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephew.  Will be greatly missed by her beloved dog, Benji.   

   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Richard Martin.  Two sisters, Patricia Jamieson and Twila Williams. Her beloved Aunt, Hazel Foley.  

   There will be no public visitation.  A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, 11 am, at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta with Rev. Randy L. Evans, Clarion/Forest VNA Hospice Chaplain.  Burial will be at Tidioute Cemetery.
