David Joseph Scalise

     David Joseph Scalise, age 66, of Sheffield, PA, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at his home on May 30, 2022.  He was born on Christmas Day of 1955 in Warren, PA, son of the late Louis and Margaret “Peg” (Colony) Scalise Short.  Dave came into this world on a holiday and departed from this world on another holiday.
     “Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.”
     Dave found hours of enjoyment spending time with his son, daughter-in law, and his adorable granddaughters.  Dave was a carpenter whose work was both impressive and impeccable. Dave also enjoyed his evenings relaxing by the campfire at his humble abode.
     Dave is survived by his son Cody, daughter-in-law Devyn and his granddaughters Shaylee and Sayler of Kane, PA; his wife Tammy of Warren, PA; his four siblings: Sandra Donato of Warren, Diane Johnson and husband Rick Of Busti, NY, Jeffery Scalise and his wife Judith of Sheffield, and Debbie Gomez of Santiago, Chile.  Surviving also are many nieces and nephews.
     In addition to his parents Dave was preceded in death by his beloved dogs, Sheba and Milo.
    Dave was a kind hearted, hardworking man and a fantastic friend. He will be missed by many whose hearts he touched.
     At the request of Dave, there will be no services.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta, PA.
