Charles H. “Chuck” Watters, age 92, of West Hickory, PA, died on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Meadville Medical Center, Meadville, PA. He was born August 15, 1933 in Carmichaels, PA, son of the late John T. and Ruth R. (Voelker) Watters.
On August 25, 1956, in Pittsburgh, PA, he married Helen L. (O’Brien), who died November 7, 2008. He worked for many auto dealerships as an auto mechanic over the course of his life and retired from Jones Brothers GMC Cadillac of Titusville, PA. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cutting firewood to keep his home warm in the winter.
Surviving are two sons, Charles J. Watters of Tidioute, PA, and John P. Watters and his wife Yvonne of West Hickory, PA. One daughter, Kathleen L. Watters, also of West Hickory. Four grandchildren, Elizza Kelly and her husband Kayce of Tidioute, Kaylyn Watters, also of Tidioute, Rayne Walter, and her husband Josh of West Hickory. Stephen J. Watters of Indiana, PA. Five great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Frank Watters and his wife Phyllis of Rices Landing, PA., and William Watters of North Carolina. He is also survived by his feline companion, Tombo.
In addition to his wife and parents, Chuck was preceded in death by a son, Joseph S. Watters. Three brothers, David, Thomas, and Raymond Watters. A sister is also deceased, Ruth Irene Swift. A daughter-in-law, Krystal Watters.
Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta on Friday, October 10th, 2025 from 3 pm to 6 pm followed by a Blessing Service at 6 pm offered by Father Joseph Kalinowski of St. Anthony’s R.C. Church, Tionesta. Burial will be alongside his wife at Starr Cemetery in Tionesta.
