Betty L. Patterson

     Betty L. Patterson, age 77, of Tionesta, PA, died on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Windsor House at Snyder Memorial Healthcare Center in Marienville, PA.  She was born January 5, 1944 in Corry, PA, daughter of the late John Robert and Leota June (Caley) Glavis. 
     She was married to the late Tom Patterson, who preceded her in death in 1992.  Betty worked in housekeeping at Cross Creek Resort in Titusville, PA for many years, and also cleaned many businesses and private homes in the Tionesta area, including Forest County Children & Youth Services, PennDOT, Northwest Bank, the Sarah Stewart Bovard Memorial Library, the Warren/Forest Equal Opportunity Council, and the Midtown Motel.  She enjoyed feeding wild birds and loved watching the many birds that would visit her feeder.
    She is survived by her son, Kevin L. Shumate of Tionesta.  Two grandchildren, Chrischelle M. Wagner and her husband Bret, and Natasha L. Hanna and her husband Chris Jr., all of Tionesta.  Six great grandchildren: Nautica Sharp, Joel Sorrell, Alanah Wagner, Olivia Sorrell, Kiarra Wagner, and Zoey Fishel.  A brother, John Glavis, in California.
    There will be no public visitation.  All services held will be private.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.  Burial will be alongside her husband in Stewarts Run Cemetery in Pleasantville, PA.  The family requests contributions to be made to the Wimer Funeral Home P.O. Box 389 Tionesta, PA 16353, to assist the family with final expenses.
