William S. Bossert

UPDATE: Services have been set for William S. and Patricia W. Bossert, formerly of Tionesta, PA, more recently of Ohio, who both died in 2017.  Friends are welcome to attend graveside services at 11 A.M. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery, Red Brush Road, Tionesta, with Rev. Samuel J. Wagner, associate pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin, PA, officiating.

William S. Bossert, age 92, of Tionesta, PA, more recently of Mentor and Painesville, Ohio, died on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Brookdale Living Center in Mentor.   He was born December 23, 1924 in Woodlynne, New Jersey, son of the late William S. and Euphemia (Moore) Bossert, Sr.

On March 24, 1962 in Key West, Florida he married Patricia W. “Pat” (Weisbarth) Bossert who survives.   The couple just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. 

Bill served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict with the US Navy. He was employed with NASA in Cleveland, Ohio where he worked as an electronic technician, retiring in 1980. 

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Pat, are two sons, William G. Bossert of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Michael A. Bossert and his wife Sharon of Marathon, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.    

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Berlin Stewart Bossert. 

There will be no public visitation; all services held will be private.   Burial will be at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery in Tionesta.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Zion Community Cemetery, c/o 4194 Allio Road, Tionesta, PA 16353.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.
