Richard L. Raybuck Obituary

Richard L. Raybuck, age 92, of Tidioute, PA, formerly of West Hickory, PA, died on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Seasons Hospice at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD.  He was born in Sigel, PA, on November 19, 1925, son of the late Harry G. and Gertrude (Hidinger) Raybuck.  He married his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth (Knight) Raybuck, on September 24, 1948 in Tidioute.  She preceded him in death on December 5, 2010.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Military Police Officer stationed at the Panama Canal.  As a young man, Richard worked for the former West Hickory Tannery, and later for GTE Sylvania in Warren, PA for 24 years until his retirement.  He was also a member of Olive Temple Lodge #557 F.&.A.M. in Tionesta, PA. 

He is survived by two daughters: Loretta J. Johnson and her husband Lynn of Middle River, MD, and Linda R. Bethune of Hermitage, TN.  Four grandchildren: Jodi L. Dunham and her husband Roger of Sheffield, PA, Amy S. Brendlinger and her husband Shawn of Erie, PA, Miranda L. Haley and her husband Trevor of Old Hickory, TN, and Randy M. Bethune, also of OId Hickory, TN.  Nine great grandchildren.  His brother, Howard Raybuck and his wife Mary of Tidioute.  His sister, Eileen Schall of Petersburg, VA.  Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Beryl and Donald Raybuck.

There will be no public visitation.  Private graveside services will be held at Swedish Union Cemetery, Triumph Township, Warren County, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tidioute Community Charter School, P.O. Box 241, Tidioute, PA 16351.
