Howard Lee Kelly, age 90, of Endeavor, PA, died on Monday, September 30, 2019 at his home in Endeavor. He was born April 27, 1929 in Endeavor, son of the late Harry B. and Mary (Harkins) Kelly.
Howard graduated from Hickory High School in 1948 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On January 21, 1956 he married his wife now of 63 years, Phyllis (Rudolph) Kelly, who survives. They were married at the Endeavor Presbyterian Church. He retired from Struthers Wells in Warren, PA after working 20-plus years. After retirement, he enjoyed mowing lawns, woodworking, and cutting wood up until age 85. Howard was a lifelong member of Endeavor Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife Phyllis, he is survived by a son, Patrick L. Kelly and his wife Kim of Tionesta. Two daughters: Debra Naser and her husband Robert Jr., of Endeavor; Mary L. Kelly of Cranberry, PA. Seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Norman Kelly. A sister, Bertha Hunter.
Friends will be received on Friday, October 4, 2019 from 1pm to 2pm at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta, where funeral services will follow at 2 PM with Lay Pastor Roger Snyder of Endeavor Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Starr Cemetery, Tionesta.
