Doris E. Tucker

   Doris E. Tucker, age 82, of Tionesta, PA, died on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Jefferson Manor Health Center in Brookville, PA.  She was born June 23, 1935 in Tionesta, daughter of the late Frank E. and Ruth A. (Seigworth) Flick. 

   Doris graduated from Tionesta High School in 1953.  On December 10, 1954 at the Flick home in Tionesta she married James K. “Jim” Tucker who died on May 26, 1997.  Doris worked for Crator Manufacturing (Evenflo-Crator) in Tionesta for 35 years in the payroll department until retirement.  She enjoyed fishing, having visits with Dixie, and playing dominoes on Sunday nights with family and friends.

   She is survived by a daughter, Dixie Lynn Tucker of Polk, PA.  Two brothers, her twin brother, Donald A. Flick and his wife Shirley of Beaver Falls, PA, and Virgil L. Flick and his wife Jane, of Tionesta.  Two sisters, Helen L. Sweet of New Castle, PA, and Betty J. Bowen, also of Tionesta.  A sister-in-law, Laura Flick, Tionesta.  Additionally she is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

   In addition to her parent and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, William S. “Bill” Flick. 

   Friends will be received on Sunday from noon to 3pm at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the funeral home at 11 am with Rev. Andy Blystone, Pastor of the Tionesta United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Tionesta.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Sarah Stewart Bovard Memorial Library PO Box 127 Tionesta, PA  16353.
