Darlene Jean (DeMarco) Taylor, age 81, of Pittsburgh, PA (Mount Washington), died on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Tionesta. She was born December 28, 1937 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Joseph DeMarco and Florence (McGough) Demarco-Stasa.
Darlene loved living in the Mount Washington section of Pittsburgh and worked for many years at the Tic Toc Restaurant that was located in Kaufmann’s Department Store in downtown Pittsburgh. She retired with many great memories and friends from being a waitress. She more recently spent a lot of her time reading and crocheting.
Surviving are her son, James E. Taylor and his wife Stacy of Pittsburgh. Her daughter Sandy L. Whitmire and her husband James of Tionesta. Three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A brother, Richard DeMarco and his wife Pat, also of Pittsburgh.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters in childhood, Cynthia and MaryRose. A brother is also deceased, Joseph DeMarco.
There will be no public visitation, no services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.
