Graydon D. Thomas

 Graydon D. Thomas, age 80, of Tionesta, PA, died Friday morning, March 1, 2024 at his home in Tionesta. He was born February 16, 1944 in Tionesta, son of the late Russell Graydon and Mildred Marie (Wagner) Thomas. 
 Graydon served as a Specialist Four in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. On January 14, 1967, at Grace Methodist Church in Warren, PA, he married Linda (Cobb) Thomas, who survives. He worked as a lathe operator at National Forge in Irvine, PA for over 35 years, retiring in 2000. He also served as a Deputy Waterways Patrolman at Tionesta Dam for 20 years. He was a longtime, faithful member of the Tionesta Church of God.
 He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on old Ford trucks. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, serving as an Assistant Scoutmaster, and also spent time as a baseball coach and Senior League Manager. He was a member of the ambulance crew at the Tionesta Volunteer Fire Department. Graydon was very proud of the years he and Linda spent as foster parents for Warren and Forest Counties. 
 He is survived by two sons, Arthur R. Thomas and his wife Jennifer of Leeper, PA, and Dale G. Thomas and his wife Jennifer of Pleasantville, PA. Three daughters: Helen L. Kline and her husband Tony of Pleasantville; Holli M. Thomas and her significant other Joe Gillenwater of East Hickory, PA; and Kelli S. Dando and her husband Mark of Tionesta. Thirteen grandchildren: Dalyn, Shawn, Russell, Katlyn, Patrick, Illana, Jo-Anna, Lexi, Andrew, Sebastian, Theresa, Mark, and Ryan. Two great grandchildren, Cleo and Bryson. His brother, Blake H. Thomas and his wife Linda of Warren. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. 
 Friends will be received from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Tionesta Church of God, 1582 Route 36, Tionesta, PA 16353. Services will follow at 1 P.M. with Pastor Jodi L. Poorman officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Collins Cemetery, Tionesta. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.
