Richard L. Perry, Jr., age 54, of Tionesta, PA, formerly of Butler, PA, died on Friday morning, March 10, 2017 at the VA Butler Hospital.  He was born in Butler on July 24, 1962, son of the late Richard L. Perry, Sr. and Ilean Grabbe Herrit of Butler, who survives.

Rick graduated from Butler Senior High School and served as a Private in the U.S. Army.  He worked as an over-the-road truck driver until becoming ill.  He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.  Rick was also a member of the Fryburg Sportsman’s Club, the Titusville Loyal Order of Moose #84, and the Knox American Legion Post #720, where he was also a member of the Legion Riders.

In addition to his mother, Ilean (Grabbe) Herrit and her husband, Paul Herrit, Jr., Rick is survived by two sons and a daughter: Derek R. and Darren R. Perry of Butler, and Taylor Wilson of Kentucky, as well as one granddaughter, Willow Perry, of Butler.  He is also survived by his brother, Joshua G. Herrit and his wife, Maria, of Butler, and his sister, Mindy Perry Fogel of South Carolina.  Several nephews also survive.

There will be no public visitation; all services held will be private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta.
