Rachel Gene West

   Rachel Gene West, age 36, of Tidioute, PA, formerly of Tionesta, PA, died on Sunday, July 16, 2017 as a result of motor vehicle accident in Pittsfield Twp., Warren County, PA.  She was born December 3, 1980 in Titusville, PA, daughter of Cynthia Jane (Carson) West, with whom she resided in Tidioute, and the late Mark E. West.

   Rachel was a graduate of West Forest High School in 1999 and currently works as a Home Health Care Giver to a dear friend.  She was a social member of the Titusville VFW, loved to ride motorcycles, kayak and spend time with her friends and family.  She especially loved her canine companion, Shorty. 

   In addition to her mother Cindy, surviving are her daughter, Lydia G. Welch of Erie, PA, and her brother, Eric M. Wagner of Tionesta.  Her maternal grandparents, Jack and Eva Carson of Tionesta.  The following aunts and uncles: Jerry and Suzette Nellis of Oil City, PA; Tim and Amy Farrell of Tionesta; Bugger and Jackie Brosius of Brookville, PA; Mike and Sue Carson, also of Tionesta.  Several cousins. 

   In addition to her father Mark, she was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Eugene and Martha West. 

   There will be no public visitation.  Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service to be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta at 11 am with Rev. Randy L. Evans, Clarion/Forest VNA Hospice Chaplain, officiating,

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home PO Box 389 Tionesta, PA 16353 to assist the family with costs, or to the Clarion Paws PO Box 804 Clarion, PA 16214.
