Clara Marie (Bridge) Rugh

Clara Marie (Bridge) Rugh, age 78, of President Twp, Venango Co, PA, died on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her home.  Clara had lived at her home ever since the un-expected death of her husband last August with the constant love and care of her family and especially the care from her daughter-in-law, Sally Rozanski.  She was born October 30, 1938 in Oliveburg, Jefferson County, PA, daughter of the late James C. and Emma (Reisinger) Bridge.  

On September 20, 1975 in New Castle, PA she married Richard A. “Dick” Rugh who died August 23, 2016.  Clara was certified as a Nurse’s Aide and worked many years in home health care.  She enjoyed Bingo, bird watching, and especially loved her canine companion, Dusty. 

Surviving are three sons, James L. Bridge and his wife Tina of Wampum, PA; Stanley C. Rozanski and his wife Sally of Cranberry, Venango Co; Fred A. Rugh and his wife Kathy of Oil City, PA.  Four daughters, Rosena C. Amsler and her husband Richard, Jr of Texas; Helena J. Patton and her husband Rick of Ellwood City, PA; Elizabeth A. Rugh of President Twp and her companion Russ Krut; Cyndi R. Vogel and her husband George of Ellwood City, PA.  12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews, a very dear friend, George Malay. 

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, John G. Rozanski Jr and Jeffrey Rugh.  A grandson, Brian J. Rozanski. A brother Charles J. “Bub” Bridge.  A sister, Mary E. Maglioccia.

Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8.  Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 19, 2017 at the funeral home at 11am with Rev. Robert J. Luther, Pastor of the Titusville Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens, Cranberry, PA. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Titusville Area Hospital for their remarkable care shown to Clara. A special thanks to Dr. William Sonnenberg of Titusville.
